About Alameda
Alameda is a large, thriving community. When summer comes around, you can expect three things: block parties, ice cream socials, and spring clean-ups. These community-led initiatives are a means of welcoming newcomers to the neighborhood.
Alameda resides in a central location within the city-limits, intertwined between serene parks, local shops, and mouth-watering restaurants. Over 85% of Alameda residents can reach a park in less than half-a-mile. This means access to a strong education system, K-12. Local schools include Wilshire, Beaumont, Grant, and Irving.
Its central location means a commute to downtown Portland will take you just ten minutes. A trip to Portland International Airport won't take much longer, clocking in at fifteen minutes. The Alameda Arts and Hollywood Districts’ are practically in your backyard, taking you less than five. There are numerous public transit routes to downtown Portland, as well as designated bike routes.
Alameda is home to so much rich history. In the 1900s, it famously become popular for being a “street car suburb”. You will find that most of the homes have a mix of old craftsman and bungalow feel.
